Sports Card Album Circa 1880-circa 1920 (bulk 1909-1913)

The identity of the person who created the album is unknown. This collection contains approximately 465 sports cards and printed ephemera from the late 1800s and early 1900s. All but ten items have been affixed, presumably glued, to pages in an album. Included in the collection are about 425 baseball cards for major and minor league players, approximately half of which are T206 White Borders. The collection also contains three baseball cards for female players that date from around 1885-1886 as well as boxing cards and color pictures of men representing different “race types” from Matthew Fontaine Maury’s .
